BAFTA honours James Corden, Meryl Streep and Sam Mendes
BAFTA Los Angeles has announced the first three honourees of the 2015 British Academy Britannia Awards.
James Corden, Meryl Streep and Sam Mendes will receive awards from BAFTA LA to celebrate their collaboration between the British and American media industries.
British comedian and chat show host Corden has been making a splash across the pond since joining as the anchor of The Late Late Show earlier this year, and will receive the Burberry Artist of the Year prize at the awards ceremony on October 30th.
Meanwhile, multi-Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, whose latest film Ricki & The Flash is due to hit UK cinemas soon, will be awarded the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, and Sam Mendes, director of the upcoming Bond film Spectre, will receive the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing.
