Drew Barrymore in talks to host ‘Ellen’ style daytime talk show
Ultimate cool girl Drew Barrymore could soon become a regular fixture in our living rooms.
According to The Wrap, the Charlie’s Angels actress is currently in negotiations with Warner Bros. to increase her TV presence, and could be presenting her own daytime talk show by 2017.
If the talk show deal does go ahead, it would be the first major broadcast TV foray for Barrymore. However she already has a number of other television projects in the pipeline, including her upcoming role in Netflix dark comedy Santa Clarita Diet alongside Justified‘s Timothy Olyphant, and narrating the US version of First Dates, produced by Ellen DeGeneres.
Barrymore also helped her friend Chelsea Handler to kick off her groundbreaking new Netflix chat show Chelsea this May by appearing on the show’s debut episode, ‘Appetite for Instruction‘, where the actress got very candid about her recent divorce from ex Will Kopelman.
We think the ever personable Drew would make a great talk show anchor, and surely has plenty of celebrity friends to recruit as guests.
