Ferne McCann has let go of her anger towards ex Arthur Collins
Ferne McCann has left the past in the past and let go of her anger towards ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins.
Arthur – Ferne’s ex-boyfriend and father to her daughter Sunday – is currently serving a 20-year jail sentence for an acid attack that took place in East London last year, but the First Time Mum star has insisted she’s finally moved on from the horrific ordeal.
In an interview with the Daily Star newspaper, Ferne explained how she had to let go of her resentment for the sake of her mental health.
She said: “Sometimes letting go is a huge relief. I had to let my anger go for the sake of my own sanity and to be the best possible mum to Sunday.
“And I’m beginning to come out the other side. Time has helped me to realise things do get better and I have so much to be grateful for.”
The former TOWIE star also admitted it was her baby girl who got her through her lowest moments.
“If I didn’t have her, I just would have been depressed,” she said.
First Time Mum will return for a second instalment in May, and Ferne will address her turbulent past year in the new series.
In a trailer for the ITVBe show, an emotional clip sees Ferne describe how her “whole life and world” was “turned upside down” by the acid attack.
The trailer continues to show footage of Ferne holding her new born baby girl minutes after going through labour, as a voiceover says: “After a world wind year, Fearne is leaving the drama and embracing life as a single mum.”
