Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Strain’ Gets Season 2 Premiere Date

Get your diaries out because Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain will return to FX on July 12 at 10pm.

Season one of the vampire-drama was 2014’s most-watched new scripted series among cable networks in Adults aged 18-49, according to Nielsen figures.

The Strain is an adaptation of the bestselling novels of the same name by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, who also executive produce the television series. It is about a terrifying viral outbreak with links to ancient vampires. Over season one, it proved difficult to prevent the strain, though the Centers of Disease Control is trying its hardest to fight for the future of humanity.
