Here’s why fans are calling X Factor a “fix” again
X Factor viewers are calling the singing competition a “fix” after Honey G was confirmed for a personal appearance in Scotland on the night of the final.
Whenever there is X Factor controversy, Honey G somehow always manages to find herself at the centre of it. And this time it is a double booking that has gotten the contestant into trouble.
Fans of the show were riled up after seeing a Facebook post on the Kittys & Kandy nightclub page. The Scottish club announced the 35-year-old rapper as a confirmed guest on December 10, which so happens to be the same date as the X Factor final.
The post promoted a performance from Honey G, saying: “We’ve just confirmed the most talked about act in Britain at the moment! Get down to Kittys on December 10th where we have.. HONEY G !!!”
So, does this mean that it’s already been decided that Honey G won’t be making it to the finals?
It wasn’t long before the comments section was filled with annoyed fans questioning whether the ITV programme is all a complete hoax.
Jodie Ligman slammed the show, saying: “X factor final is this date 😂 this mean the shows a fix lol” while Jason Seathe wrote: “X factor final is the 10th December who’s to say she won’t be there.”
When approached on the matter, a PR for the nightclub assured viewers that they secured the date providing Honey is eliminated from the competition by then, and would be rearranging if she is not.
Perhaps the news that Honey won’t be making the finals will be music to some people’s ears, however. The contestant has been the subject of much criticism over the last few weeks – the rapper has been accused of racism and drug endorsement, and has been branded a “joke” by the likes of Boy George.
Oh, Honey G. Whatever next?
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
