Kit Harington is excited for Game of Thrones season eight
Kit Harington has confirmed he will be receiving scripts for season eight of Game of Thrones and that he’s really excited for what’s to come next.
Speaking to Moviefone, Harington said: “I just finished season seven, and I am already counting down the days until I get the season eight scripts.”
This admission seems to confirm that Jon Snow will survive the upcoming season seven and will be involved in the show’s final season in some capacity. This was, of course, predictable, but it’s nice to have confirmation a fan favourite makes it through a season of the famously bloody Thrones.
However, Harington is giving nothing away about the show’s ending. In fact, he’s insisting that he – like Jon Snow – knows absolutely nothing.
Harington said: “Everyone’s been wondering how it’s going to end, and what’s going to happen right from the get-go, and theorising about it.
“It’s really exciting to me not knowing, genuinely having no idea where it’s going to end, what they’ve got in their heads, and being the first to find out.”
Harington also admitted that the character of Jon Snow felt quite dear to him after seven seasons of filming, and he’s emotional that the series is coming to an end.
“He’s dear to me. I’ve lived with him for so long.
“I think I’ve come into a place of feeling quite emotional about him, actually, knowing that I’m not going to get to go back to him after next year.
“I’m really trying to just take stock of having lived this sort of dual life with this character, and being through so much with this character. It’s been a strange journey, but I’ll always be fond of it.”
