Marnie Simpson nearly quit Geordie Shore just days before filming began
Geordie Shore‘s Marnie Simpson reportedly threatened to walk away from the show just days before filming started.
Apparently the reality star felt apprehensive about returning to the MTV series as she did not want to cut herself off from the outside world.
As filming for the next season began yesterday, a friend of Marnie’s expressed concern about whether she would be able to cope being away from home. The source told The Sun Online: “Marnie was stressed about going back into the Geordie Shore house.
“She loves the show and her co-stars but it’s going to be difficult for her to be completely off radar.
“Her friends and family think she might walk out of the house if it gets too much for her.
“She’s already said she’s getting anxious about not being able to contact anyone for such a long stretch of time.”
The source also described Marnie’s worries about balancing her business with the reality show: “It’s not just because of her personal life either. She’s got business deals and a lot on work-wise so being out of the loop will be difficult.
“No one will be surprised if she bails for a day or two during filming.”
Last week, Marnie had her final say on the break-up with ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor. In her Star Magazine column, the reality TV personality insisted she has “finally recovered” from the break-up and feels back to her “old self”.
“I’ve finally recovered from my break-up with Lewis,” she said.
“I’ve seen he’s tweeted but I’m over commenting on it.
“I feel back to my old self and talking about the past doesn’t help. My final comment is that I wish him the best of luck in whatever he does in life.
“[I want to concentrate ] on working hard and partying harder.”
Geordie Shore continues Tuesday at 10pm on MTV.
