Netflix renews Bloodline for third season
Its second season may not have lived up to the critical acclaim of its debut, but devoted fans of Netflix original drama Bloodline will be pleased to learn that Kyle Chandler and what remains of the Rayburn clan will be back again for ten more episodes in 2017.
Created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler – the team behind Damages – news of Bloodline‘s second season renewal came just over a week after the show’s debut, and the confirmation of season 3 comes hot off the heels of that second season launching on the streaming service in May, which received disappointingly mixed reviews. However, the new episodes promise to bring back principal cast members Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz and Ben Mendelsohn – the latter of whom we certainly weren’t expecting to see again – which could bring the Emmy, Golden Globe and WGA nominated Florida noir back on track.
Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix, has said of the renewal: “Todd, Daniel, and Glenn have created a riveting family saga featuring one of the most talented ensembles in the history of television. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for the all-too-human Rayburns”.
Season 3 of Bloodline will join Netflix in 2017.
