Nicole Scherzinger thinks she will win this year’s X Factor
The X Factor‘s Nicole Scherzinger believes she may have the talent show’s winner in the Boys category.
Speaking on This Morning, Scherzinger said of contestant Sam Mann: “I definitely think I could possibly have the winner here!”
She added: “I think I have at least one or two stars.”
However, Scherzinger does accept she may have some competition from the other judges – especially from Sharon Osbourne’s Over-25s category.
“My strongest competition is Mrs O’s category which is ‘the overs’ – they have some really strong, heavy hitters and big voices. People who are really experienced.”
The burden may have considerably lightened however after fan favourite Ivy Grace Paredes, of the Overs category, was forced to leave the competition due to a visa issue. Her place will be taken by controversial hopeful Honey G, who failed to receive a seat during the Six Chairs Challenge last weekend.
Despite getting to spend the week in the sunny South of France, Scherzinger admitted that the Judges’ Houses is her “least favourite part” of The X Factor. That’s because “This is where I forget the gorgeous view and I’m dreading having to send more than half of my boys home.”
It sounds like the adoration is mutual. Earlier this week, Scherzinger’s Boys category shared their thoughts on their Pussy Cat Doll mentor and were very complimentary.
Contestant Matt Perry explained how Scherzinger greeted the Boys on their arrival, while the group were jet-skiing: “She came to meet us she walked out of the water like some sort of Bond girl. She looked so hot, I thought I was going to pass out!”
Freddy Parker added: “She looks sensational on TV and then you meet her in person and she’s crazy beautiful. I actually find myself lost for words when I’m around her! She’s so calm and casual and I’m like, ‘Don’t say anything stupid!’”.
