Created by the writer of The Bridge and directed by the director of The Killing, Heartless is a supernatural high school drama with a difference. It revolves around the students at an elite Danish boarding school, which houses some very extraordinary students.
Two students are Sofie and Sebastian, twins who are cursed with vampirism. They’re not the kind of vampires who glitter and sparkle, however, they must suck the energy out of people to survive. If they go too far, however, their victims will burn to death.
It’s difficult being a teenager at the best of times, but students usually don’t have to worry about fatally eating their classmates.
The eagerly-anticipated Cold War drama follows young East German soldier Martin Rauch, who is sent undercover to spy on the West and discover NATO’s military plans. He is unwillingly thrown into the centre of real events, cultural wars and the shocking political reality that was Germany in the 1980s.
A smash-hit comedy drama that is wonderfully non-politically correct. Set in the midst of the Afghanistan War, Kabul Kitchen is the place to be in Afghanistan. It is flooded with expats, comedy dictators, corrupt politicians and of course: sex and money.
Cenk Batu is about Germany’s top undercover agent as he infiltrates the criminal underworld of Hamburg and investigates crimes involving corruption, terrorism and industrial espionage. The feature length episodes are bold, powerful, and a thrill-a-minute.
Match Day explores scandal in the sporting world after a football fan is murdered. A detective investigates the murder after learning that her sister may be implicated in the crime, but nothing can prepare her for what she will discover.
Country: Czech Republic
A beautifully shot crime drama originating in the Czech Republic, the premiere episode of The Lens was the highest rated show on CT1 last year. It is about Roman, a 25-year-old who accepts a job as a photographer on the police force from his father after failing to achieve his dream of attending film school. However, on his first day of the job things quickly go awry and Roman’s father is murdered. It leaves Roman desperate to solve the crime at any cost.
A very dark portrayal of one man’s torment at the hands of a psychopath, Pure Evil has been a huge hit in its native country of Argentina. It is about policeman Daniel Parodi, who years earlier had his daughter kidnapped and brutally murdered by the sadistic leader of a group known as ‘The Sons of Saturn’. Now, for reasons unknown, he returns to make Parodi’s life hell once more.
An award-winning, psychological thriller in which eight players gather at a secret location for a high stakes game of poker. However, the room has been bugged by police who are watching and waiting for one player to give himself away as a wanted criminal. Full of twists and turns, “10” is a unique and breathtaking whodunit.
